    About the AdSense Revenue Calculator

Google AdSense is one of the most widely used website monetization methods — it allows publishers to display Google-served ads on their website and earn money based on user impressions and clicks. However, understanding what your site can realistically earn requires a clear understanding of how AdSense revenue is calculated.

AdSense pays based on RPM (Revenue Per Mille, or revenue per 1,000 page views). This accounts for Google's 32% cut of ad revenue (creators keep 68%) and the fact that not all page views show ads. RPM varies enormously by content niche, audience geography, device type, and the time of year.

    RPM benchmarks by niche (2025): Finance/investing: $10–$25. Legal/insurance: $15–$30. Health/medical: $8–$18. Software/technology: $6–$15. Education: $5–$12. Cooking/food: $3–$8. Gaming: $2–$5. Entertainment/humor: $1–$4. These ranges reflect what advertisers in each niche pay for access to your audience.

Traffic geography matters enormously: US visitors are worth 3–10× more than visitors from developing countries. A site with 100,000 monthly views — 90% from the US in a finance niche — might earn $1,500/month. The same traffic primarily from Southeast Asia might earn $150/month.

Q4 seasonality: ad spend increases dramatically in October–December due to holiday retail advertising. Many AdSense publishers earn 40–70% more per view in November–December than in January. January is consistently the lowest RPM month.

AdSense approval requirements include: original content with substantial value, clear site navigation, privacy policy page, about page, and compliance with AdSense program policies. Sites with thin content, scraped content, or low-quality traffic are routinely rejected or have accounts suspended.

    Formula Used
    Monthly Revenue = (Monthly Pageviews ÷ 1,000) × RPM

RPM (Revenue per Mille) is your actual earnings per 1,000 pageviews — it's already adjusted for ad fill rate, CTR, and CPC. RPM varies enormously by niche, traffic country, and season. US/UK/Canada traffic pays 3–5× more than global average. Q4 (Oct–Dec) RPMs are typically 2–3× higher than Q1 due to advertiser budget spending surges.
